    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In my school it is a mandatory class, but I would highly advise students in other high schools to take it as well. It broadens a person's understanding of the world we live in and the the roll we have in it as a country. If you want to learn stories about successful businessmen, rising of nations and world politics, than this is a class for you. Props to my teacher for making it an awesome experience even for a foreign student like me.

    Course highlights:

The chronological order of events that have happened in the United States of America, and in what way did they affect the rest of the world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay attention to the teacher during class. If you listen to what he/she says, than you're half done with the course's homework.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for any student wishing to exceed in school. It is the perfect introductory AP course. You learn all about United States history, from native Americans all the way to modern day America. I really enjoyed this class because we were able to discuss the topics together and even debate. Not only was the material interesting and enjoyable, it was also thorough and fun! If you like history at all, you'll love this class! And even if you aren't a history buff, this is an enjoyable course that is perfect for a student wanting to push themselves academically.

    Course highlights:

My favorite parts of AP US History were the discussions and debates. We were able to guide these discussions ourselves and really dive deep into a topic. Specifically, my favorite debate was on the dropping of the atomic bombs during WWII. As students, after learning about this incident, we were to choose a side and debate. In discussion, I learned more than I would have out of a textbook. In this course you learn everything from manifest destiny to the articles of confederation to Calvin Coolidge to Obama. It was really interesting to really dive deep into history that I had never known before and see the overarching concepts that really prove how important our history is.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study vocab and do the reading! You might not like it but it really is the only homework, excluding a few projects throughout the year. Also, if you are on the edge about taking it, do it! It's definitely worth a try, especially if you want an introduction to AP courses.
