Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

We do an in-depth study of a wide variety of literature.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were studying Romantic poetry and reading Joseph Conrad's HEART OF DARKNESS. This taught us a great deal about close-reading and the importance of thoroughly-analyzing texts.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Set a good reading pace for yourself so that you not only read all of the material, but you also read it with UNDERSTANDING.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has trained me to be able to read and automatically analyze nearly any work of literature I come in contact with. We had discussions, group projects, or presentations nearly everyday.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to pick out significant elements of literary compositions ranging from novels to sonnets.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work hard at this class. Always do the readings you are assigned and take some notes so that you are prepared to discuss something in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even though this course can be tough, you get college credits. So the work is worth it.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write longer essays. The best thing about this course, is that it is one less class I have to take in college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you turn in all of your assignment on time. Don't cheat because the teacher will know.
