    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students who would like to pursue a major in history.

    Course highlights:

One of the best projects in this class is by far the decades project. You can learn about each decade and not only the historical aspects but the societal aspects as well!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read as much as possible from both of the textbooks assigned to you. Even the slightest bit of reading helps a lot.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP United States History is a fantastic class that lets you gain a full knowledge of our country. Rather then being given a romanticized view of American history, this class gives you all the real facts and gruesome details, showing the sacrifices and mistakes that lead our country to where we are today.

    Course highlights:

This course really gave me a substantial knowledge about how desperate our chances were when fighting the British and about the formation of the constitution instilled a sense of patriotism within me since it is such a classic tale of triumph over injustice. We also looked deeply within the interesting presidencies of Andrew Jackson and FDR, seeing how the country view and presidency has changed over the years. Overall, the knowledge gained gives a sense of pride looking across the majority of our countries history, for the most part at least.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read, read, read. You have to read any text material given to you since much of the material can not be taught within class. You also need to make sure that you are constantly reviewing past unit material while the course moves forward since you learn a lot of information each day, making it difficult to remember everything learned the past days.
