Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Nunez is an exceptional teacher, who cares about her students and cares about their educational advances. Although she is strict and straight forward, she will not sugar coat things in order to help the student improve. It may be a difficult class at first but it really does prepare the student for their following years to come in high school. She also does no just focus on the current English that the student is required to learn, she stretches the learning boundaries father than that and educates her students about scholarships, how to be college ready, what are somethings that we would need to learn or habits to generation n order to be more successful when we take our SATs, and so on. She is the type of teacher you would want for every single class.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course I definitely leaned how to write a good paper, whether it is a research paper, a persuasive essay, or an analytical essay, she taught us how to be able to write one in less than 40 minutes. Not only that she gave us advice on what we can do o better our opportunities to get accepted to the college of our choice. Mrs. Nunez also introduced me and my peers to programs that would be beneficial to us and our future such as the Upward Bound program which absolutely was an amazing experience that changed my life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Being on top of your work is definitely something that I strongly recommend because procrastination will be your worst enemy in this class and among many other classes that you as a student will take. And since it is an honors class, you will be surrounded by students that share a common goal, to be successful and achieve your dreams. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it, you will learn a lot more by asking questions and it might save your grade one day. Do not judge yourself too hard as well, have an open mind, if you believe your essay topic is too hard but Mrs. Nunez says you can do it, have an open mind and be confident in yourself that you will be able to achieve it, if anything you can away ask for clarification on anything you have a doubt on, which is a key habit that every student should develop.
