    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely vigorous and intense. If you don't know how to manage time, it's not the class for you. Mahlum does a great job of providing in depth notes and an uplifting teaching style to help understand the complex history of America.

    Course highlights:

My favorite thing was Mahlum yelling "jalapeño" every time some body yawned. Additionally, it was crazy to learn about the dark past of America that isn't taught in normal history classes, as well as the amazing advances in technology America provided for the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have the ability to manage your time well, especially if you have other AP or advanced classes. Also, read the book, it'll make life much easier for you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot, even though the class fairly challenging. It gives lots of opportunities to challenge yourself further.

    Course highlights:

The highlights I had in this course, was learning about memory palaces, where I was able to memorize over 200 vocabulary words by walking through the school and creating a palace in my mind.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay caught up with the reading, the teacher records his own voice that will read you the information through the chapters which was helpful to me because I like listening and reading.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those who have a passion for history. It was challenging and required many hours of studying per night. With this being said, all of it was worth it. The class was fast paced and I learned loads of useful information about the US's origins.

    Course highlights:

Personally, my favorite part of the course was learning about the various wars that the Colonies and later, the US of A were involved in. Wars have a very nice cause and effect relationship, and history would be very different if they wars were different in any way. APUSH goes into these wars in great detail.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read the book and get a study guide. Although there is great information and summaries online, it is crucial that you read from the textbook given to you and take detailed notes. There are lots of facts that will easily slip by if you don't read and take notes.
