Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Sax is a phenomenal teacher and an even better person. He has so much knowledge and never fails to make a day exciting or funny. He will help you with anything you need and is always willing to stay after school. He is the greatest teacher I've ever had.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about dreams and how the brain works. You learn all of the parts of the brain and about different psychological disorders too. Very exciting course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and do not slack off. Not a lot of work if you understand the material and listen.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is difficult. While it is interesting, it also requires a lot of work outside of the classroom. There are many papers and handouts to be completed that take up a lot of time.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the human brain, like how it works and why it does the things it does.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study a lot! The tests are very hard and there is a lot of work involved.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As someone who plans to obtain a degree in Psychology, this course was a great place for me to start-- it covered the basics of just about everything, and for fitting an abundance of information into just one school year, it was incredibly informative.

    Course highlights:

Personally, my highlights were learning about theories and seeing them applied in famous experiments or even real life, such as conditioning and the effects of certain types of parenting. Another highlight was learning statistic and how it is used in psychology-- as someone who is neither a fan of nor terribly good at math, psychology made this branch of math not only easier for me to understand but interesting as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take very detailed and organized notes so it's easier to look back on when you study for tests. As with any class, always pay close attention to the lessons your teacher is giving you. The reason why I stress this for this course is because there is a lot of information given out in short periods of time, and it is easy to miss something and then be thrown off track.
