    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very dull and the tests are almost impossible. There is a lot of homework, however the homework does help to weight out the test grades.

    Course highlights:

A somewhat solid foundation for how accounting works.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Sit in the front of the class and try your best to pay attention to the professor.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking Thomas Devaney because he gets to the point. He is fast paced, so coming to class prepared is important. Online assignments and in class assignments are offered in order to understand how to balance the financial statements and pass his exams.

    Course highlights:

While taking this course, I understood a business transaction in an accountants point of view. I learned the difference between accounts receivable and accounts payable. I was able to identify long-term operational assets and how to calculate straight line depreciation. This class involves a lot of practice, so reading and taking notes are not enough.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Work through all the problems and practice, practice, practice.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this teacher because she gives bonus points towards test.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was the amount of test. She let you drop the lowest test grade and if your average grade is above an A then you do not take the final.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need the textbook and go to couple tutor classes.
