    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You have to read the book in order to do well. Professor Alexander goes through his notes very quickly so you have to attempt to stay ahead. He is a great professor and will help you as much as you need but you have to approach him for help. Office hours are a great tool for this class.

    Course highlights:

You will become comfortable drawing reactions after this course. You will learn sn1 and sn2 reactions as well as e1 and e2. The material gets more difficult as the semester goes on. The stuff you learn at the beginning of the semester will still be used at the end. Everything is a building block to more complication reactions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, and study some more. Utilize office hours and be sure to pay attention to everything that he says. Read the text before class to know what is going on during class.
