    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are prepared to teach yourself and use website that doesn't allow for interpretation. If you've taken spanish before you shouldn't have too many problems, but of not, you may need to get a study buddy to practice with and use additional online help aids for pronunciation. The professor is very understanding and flexible and as long as you aren't asking stupid questions that can be answered by reading the instructions, she will be willing to help.

    Course highlights:

This was just a refresher course for me, but I relearned the basics and can easily string together sentences to greet people and talk a little about myself or others and what we are doing or where we are going.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not save all your work for the weekend or end of the chapter. Split it up as you go. Do one connect assignment a day and practice your pronunciation for the audio discussions. Follow the check lists and instructions. Try to limit your Google translate and instead use the glossary in the back of the book or index. Fairly easy but you have to keep up with your work.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The Spanish course is what's to be expected, but any course you can take with Dr. Ernesto Silva, do it! He offers lots of extra credit, is always willing to work with you on what you struggle with, and his passion for the language is contagious and makes learning Spanish second nature.

    Course highlights:

Aside from an elementary view into Spanish, I learned that I really want to take more Spanish

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Consistency is key. Language is to be spoken and read daily, or you will lose momentum.
