Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only does this teacher attempt to teach you in a way where you are not just memorizing the material, she takes the time to interact with the students and get to know them better. By doing so, it makes the students more comfortable to confront her if they are struggling in the class or have any questions.

    Course highlights:

She believes that reading should be required and if a big part of expanding a students mind. This was a different approach than the usual assigned books by a teacher which was a good way of helping the students learn. I learned how to better write a research paper and how to summarize better, because I had a hard time making the summaries short.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When choosing a book to read, do not choose a book you have read before or that is too easy. you will probably get bored and you should test yourself and find a book you would really be interested in, that will make it worth your time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In this class we get to read some of the best books out there! We also got a chance to really improve on our writing skills. The way Mrs. Ponder explains things makes so much sense, and I'm not that savvy with English. Her class inspires individualism and creativity.

    Course highlights:

The best part was reading 1984 by George Orwell. She gave us a chance to discuss it in class and really understand it. It is now my favorite book of all time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Hope you don't mind writing essays. That seemed to be her favorite assignment to give us over all. All though it was annoying I can now write a killer essay in less than fourty minutes.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it will help you prepare for writing in college english class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were several classic books such Invisible Man. I learned how to read classic literature and then write about it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise other students taking this course to begin reading the books as soon as the assignment is given and take notes, mark pages to reference when writing assignments are given.
