Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The content is relativley easy content, but it is a lot of memorization.

    Course highlights:

I really liked the hands on labs that we did. we learned a lot about marine ecosystems and how the different living componets interact.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study and you will be fine. It is a little bit of all of the science classes put together, so you may already know a few things. The AP tests are hardish, but the classwork and homework is easy, so there is no excuse to get less than a C overall.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in a science career, are naturally gifted in the sciences field, or are simply looking for a challenging course, this class is perfect. It bettered my understanding of Biology, and I really enjoyed the cells unit. The class is very challenging, with a lot of classwork, tests, and homework to keep you busy. Mr. McDowell is an excellent teacher, who genuinely cares about his students and their education.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned the basic features and functions of the cells in the human body, as well as the cells in plants. We learned about reproduction, and this is the class which helped me determine what my college major would be. I enjoyed the skills and resources I gained so much that I decided I want to study Biology in college.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, a student MUST be willing to dedicate hours every night to studying and homework, and must be able to take detailed class notes. The first thing you will discover is that the small things are on the tests, more so than the obvious facts. The purpose of this is to see who is actually paying close attention during class.
