    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is trying to sharpen their educational purposes. This class taught me more than just English and composition. It taught me to be a better student and how hard work would pay off in some way.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the interactions between student in teacher. We conducted many activities that involved class discussions and a lot of practice in composing essays. I learned a lot, and some of it was not classroom related.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course be prepared to work hard and there are no excuses. This class will make you see things in a different perspective than before.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Blake is very informative and funny. She guided me as though it was a college course (mainly because it was) and had high expectations that us students had to fulfill.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was becoming closer to some friends and also the essays. I still dreaded them but after awhile I started to look forward to them. Writing is something I truly enjoy.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of it. It is a great opportunity to better yourself as a student and even a person. There will of course be some challenges but overall there is no regrets.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP English is a wonderful experience that will surely improve your writing technique, and ability to produce proper essays. AP English will also help prepare students for any AP exams, as practice essays are key to this particular teacher's curriculum. The course study is enjoyable, with minimal challenges, making this AP course an excellent must have for any student seeking an AP credit.

    Course highlights:

AP English had many highlights throughout the semester, such as the interesting group work, and selection of books to read. Overall, my ability to produce worthy, functional essays has improved, along with my fundamental understanding of literature.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring the necessary materials, and have lots on hand. Pens and paper are a given, however, over the length of the semester, students will find that they have need of more than just the handful of sheets of paper. Also, bring a red pen or two for peer editing purposes. Aside from that, it is recommended that students take a look into current events, and the news, as such topics can become an excellent resource for your essays.
