Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would reccomend this course, because studying the mind and how it works is astounding. It may be a bit challenging with the amount of information, but it is so worth the struggle to comprehend why the mind does what it does.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the year long research paper. In this paper we could research any topic we wanted that dealt with Psychology. I did mine on the psychology behind fashion marketing, since I want to go into that field of study in college. Another highlight was discussing dreams, and how we might interprate them in the words of psychology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say the most important thing is to always go over the notes that you go through. There could be some questions on a test that you would not think would be. A study tip that you could use would be to use flash cards to really get to know the vocabulary that you are working with each unit.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is extremely interesting! The class helped me to fuel my interest in psychology and now I am actually considering earning a degree in psychology. The teacher is also extremely helpful in the classroom.

    Course highlights:

While in this class, I learned about short-term and long-term memory, which was absolutely fascinating! We also covered the functions of the brain, the arguments of Nature vs Nurture, along with several different psychologists and their strange experiments (Pavlov, Skinner). We also went over a brief history of the development of psychology. My favorite part of the class was actually an extra credit assignment in which students were encouraged to analyze their dreams.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Always take notes on as much as possible. The tests are not terribly difficult, but they do require some studying if you intend to get a decent grade. The lessons are genuinely interesting, especially if you enjoy learning about mental illnesses and the unconscious mind as much as I do.
