Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is extremely fascinating to learn about how society acts the way it does. I would also recommend this course because we learn why we take actions that we take on a daily basis. It is an amazing introduction to Sociology.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course has been our Deviance Unit. in this unit we have learned how to watch case studies and justify why someone committed deviance based off of control, cultural transmission, conflict, or the labeling theory.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

For students taking a sociology course, I recommend two things. The first I recommend is to keep an exceptionally organized notebook where all of your notes will be taken. The next piece of advice I have for incoming sociology students is to make sure that you know the vocabulary like your own birthday.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class gave me an inside look on history and went above and beyond what a normal class would teach. This was a very hard class but well worth it in the end!

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights was the field trip we took to Chicago at the end of the year and had a mock protest and dressed up like we were living in the time of the Vietnam War. I learned more in depth of why our world is how it is today and what struggles different groups of people had to go through just to get their basic human rights.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot in this class because it requires a lot of work to be put in.
