This class was tough.
You really learn a lot. Mr. Maher is very knowledgeable and clearly love history, and a lot of that knowledge and passion rubs off on you. I felt really prepared for the AP test.
Mr. Maher does this thing called "Track II" where he discusses contemporary events. I had never learned about any contemporary history, so I found this to be particularly interesting. In addition, there are also a lot of extra credit opportunities associated with Track II, so it's a great way to boost your grade and learn something.

Advice for students:
Do the reading and the study guides! The tests have a lot of names, places, dates, and numbers. However, it ALL comes from the study guide. It took a few tests for me to figure that out and really sit down and do the study guides well. It'll really help.
