Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This freshmen level course introduces young people to the science world in a way not previously done. Mrs. Durako uses active notes to clarify the chapters and keep kids on top of the lessons. The most important aspect of the class I feel was the meiosis vs mitosis portion. These basic lessons will carry over throughout the entire high school experience and be applicable in everyday life as well.

    Course highlights:

Biology taught me self discipline. As an honors student I mostly relied on paying attention in class to learn the majority of the material. Without much effort however I struggled at first. This course taught me that what you put in is what you get out and helped me develop good study skills that would be essential to my success in high school.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give regarding biology is to ask questions, even if there is the slightest of doubt in your mind. Nobody will think differently of you for asking to clarify a point, in fact the whole class was most likely getting lost as well. It's important to walk in and out of class everyday without doubt in your mind and feeling prepared for anything.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned so much information out of her class that will stick with me for a lifetime. She taught her course in a way that was fun to learn even though it was quite a challenge. Her class lead me to learn better study habits for my high school years.

    Course highlights:

The major highlight of the course for me was learning the structure of DNA. It helped me understand how proteins are created; making each person an individual.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The upmost important advice I would give students considering this course is to always be prepared for her quizzes and tests. It is important to keep up with the studying as the information is taught and not waiting until the day before to study for a test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You learn a lot from this class especially with the guidance of the teacher

    Course highlights:

The labs and the explanation of the material of the course by the teachers. If there is something that sounds confusing, you can ask and the teacher will explain the material well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study really hard for the class and always ask questions if there is any confusion. Always pay attention to the lectures and don't procrastinate when it comes to projects or even quizzes and ezams
