Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Kennelly's AP GOV class was amazing! His interactive application of topical happenings to the grassroots of American Government are unparalleled by any course or teacher I've had thus far. He really encourages every single one of his students, regardless of race or sex or socioeconomic standing to become the best they can be. His nonjudgemental, open minded, entertaining method of relating Government to every day life is so valuable when trying to get younger students (high school juniors) amped about a course usually seen as dull (Government). 10/10 would recommend!

    Course highlights:

I became articulate in the founding father's words and ideals, especially what was contained in the Federalist Papers. I gained an understanding of the Constitution and the actual application of the Articles and Amendments. I learned familiarity with the Bill of Rights beyond just recitation of the Amendments. One of the best takeaways from AP Gov with Kennelly is the fluency in government jargon and the understanding of the parts of the many processes of basic government that has helped form my standing as a capable, involved American citizen.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is notes heavy. Be prepared to do some solo reading and writing and self checking. Use the class periods to clarify any questions from the night before. Organize your notes! Have a system, don't just copy down entire passages word for word from the text- you need to be comprehending what you're reading!
