    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It doesn't conform to the rules of usual writing standards. don't get me wrong, I love English, but it's an exhilarating experience to explore the worlds of writing where the topics, and the variety of the people who you encounter are limitless.

    Course highlights:

I thoroughly enjoy working with a large group towards a common goal. Through journalism, I learned how to better communicate with my fellow editors, and staff writers, as well as present my ideas during brainstorming. Furthermore, I enhanced my ability to time-manage, as meeting deadlines is integral to a successful newspaper. Finally, I learned invaluable people skills through interviewing a plethora of people throughout my time writing articles and collecting research.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Time-management is essential in making sure you meet all of your deadlines, and ensuring that your story is polished, and ready for your audience to read. Even more important is communication with your editors, as their ideas, advice, and expertise can prove to be extremely helpful when writing articles.
