    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is perfect for anyone who appreciates literature. We read so many classics that can tell you so much about the world. It is by far my favorite class because everything we do has meaning. There is no such thing as busy work in this class. With that said, there is a lot of work. It's not easy, but it's definitely worth it.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight of this course is that I'm so aware of symbolisms and themes in every novel or poem I read. I learned what to look for to find the message in a book, and I can't help but do that, even when I watch a movie or TV show. I also learned how to interpret and understand poetry better, which is great because poetry is a whole other world of works completely separate from novels.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate in this class. If you do, you will stay consistently stressed, and you won't do well. Also, learn to love annotating your books. You'll need that skill to do well in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Many students complain of the stress that comes with AP English in 12th grade, but taking Dual English is by far the best choice I have made in my entire high school career.

    Course highlights:

I have learned a great deal about literature and writing. I was taught how to properly write a paper and got excellent feedback on my writings from a great teacher using the University of Memphis' curriculum.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be willing to work, and work hard!
