    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Gregory's class will make you think about how each sentence is made up of clauses, adjectives and nouns. On Wednesday's, students break down a paragraph from the newspaper. This is very challenging and rewarding.

    Course highlights:

I learned not to be afraid of dissecting a sentence. I learned 20 new definitions to vocabulary words each week. I was excited to see how I retained that knowledge without even thinking!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be intimidated by Mrs. Gregory. She is tough in order to help you learn and retain the information that she is teaching.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course seems to be a tough class on paper but with Mrs. Brawner, she teaches us with great detail and makes sure we understand the material.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, not only did I learn the basics of English literature but as a class we also had sessions where we had college professors come and we learned in depth information about poem writers such as Elizabeth Bishop.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up with what the professors says especially when she specifically tells you to write something down. Over half of the information she told us to write down were on the final exams.
