Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This AP English Literature class was intriguing and engaging from the very beginning. The teacher always had a set plan for the day and thoroughly explained how it was to be thought through, not exactly how it was supposed to be done. Because in this class there were many ways one assignment could be done for the class itself is about looking at one piece of literature at different angles, different points of view.

    Course highlights:

In this course because we had so many different ways of analyzing our works, I actually learned a lot about myself as a person and a lot about how other people think. We studied different points of views and we also saw the different views in action in class from the other students. Using the different angles to study a work brought to light what each student saw as important in life and what we didn't see as important. We learned about our own priorities and morals.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you have to know you will find the time to read all the assigned reading, and you will not have trouble deep thinking your way through everything you will read. Even if at first you do find it hard to think deeply about a work it doesn't mean you should give up and not take the class at all. You will learn how to analyze the work. The main thing is you have to sign up for the class knowing you will give it your best and you will give yourself patience to learn the thought process of analyzing the work you will be given.
