    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have learned so much from this teacher including how to write more efficently and how I will be treated in college. Not all high school teachers treat their students like adults.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write a college-level research paper, and how to be more concise in my writing

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep at it. It will be beneficial in the end. Know that there have been those who have one before you and have not died.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to incoming seniors because she prepares you well for college and helps turn not so good writers into great writers. She also is very nice and allows many questions in her class which many people need questions!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course so far is being able to see my work transforming into something that has good potential. I learned that with motivation and persistence that I can really turn an essay that I had no hope for into an essay that was quality material.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for students considering this course is to understand the workload that comes with it. Good writing doesn't happen the night before the essay is due and starting the essay right when she hands the assignment out is always a good idea. Be motivated and this class will push you far.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a huge challenge but it has improved my writing and reading skills immensely. It has really prepared me for college next year and I even earned six college credits for next year! It is a very rigorous course but I recommend taking the challenge. Ms. Vandehei wants nothing but for you to be successful.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to properly write college level essays including a research paper. You learn how to cite sources and even write an annotated bib.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

ALWAYS STUDY. Do not procrastinate and ask for help! Always set up meeting with the teacher because she will help you.
