    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed being in a higher level learning course. It took me deeper into my favorite type of history and completing my first AP course with a B grade made me want to excel my AP experience into my junior year.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were that I got to learn detailed events that makes the world why it is they way it is today. I have a greater appreciation of history and people from many many years ago now that I know what people went through to make this world the way it is.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep your head above the water, things will get difficult because the work load is a lot more than a regular class. Time management is very important snd there will be many hours of studying and homework.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because although it may have a lot of work, the topics are interesting and provide a good insight into different cultures of the world.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was learning about different cultures and other parts of the world. I enjoyed this course much more than United States History because i learned not only about the laws and history of several regions, but also about their customs and traditions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It was helpful to memorize important facts and read the textbook to learn important portions of the course. It is also important to practice writing essays for the AP Exam

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives a thorough understanding of World History. While the world does encompass all of history, in AP World History, we learn of the great civilizations that ruled before like the early Islamic Caliphates and the Chinese Empires like the Hun and Song Dynasties. It would be wise to know before hand that this course does take 30 to 60 mins a day for homework purposes, and that this course must be taken seriously if you wish to pass the AP exam. But other than that, this was a wonderful course that was very informative and guided each student from one major time period to the next in a swift yet thorough manner.

    Course highlights:

There were many highlights and bright spots from this course. From learning about the fall of Rome to the rise of the Byzantine Empire, to learning from the Industrial Revolution all the way to WWII, AP World History brings out the most critical and life-changing events from all of history. I loved how every day we learned about how these old civilizations thrived through their extensive irrigation projects and through their use on staple crops, and I loved seeing how people in these time periods ruled over themselves, compared to how we organize society today. Expect to learn plenty about different civilizations and different time periods in the world!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course overall was very fun, informative, educational, and interesting. But it was also very challenging. Students going into this course must know that must dedicate at least an hour everyday on studying AP World History. They should make flashcards and review their test material in class as well. Always make sure you get enough sleep for this class; it was a very demanding class that always exhausted me whenever I didn't rest myself the day prior. I used to make flashcards for each major time period and study them every night and before a testing day. I also read the textbook, which is a MUST in this class in order for you to pass this course and even think for you to pass the AP exam. For students taking this course, I advise them to study each day for this course and make flashcards and get some rest if you wish to do well on this course.
