Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class will open your mind to new kinds of literature, and help improve your writing skills, which you will use for the rest of your life. Also, you have the chance to get college credit early!

    Course highlights:

I loved most of the stories and novels we read. They were very interesting, and I would not have read them on my own. The main thing I learned in this class was not to put off homework. There's a lot of it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not put off reading the short stories or studying your vocabulary words. It's really not that difficult, doesn't take much time, and it will help you so much in the long run. Also, please do not wear Mrs. Sayre out with makeup quizzes. She has a lot to do.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a college prep class, which means it will prepare students for college. It challenges student while engaging them and encouraging reading. I have only been in this course for a short period of time and I have already learned more than I expected to.

    Course highlights:

Some students would not consider this a highlight, but I have read many books I would not have read on my own. I learned that although a book may not be the typical style you chose, there is still knowledge that can be obtained.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, you cannot procrastinate. It is also vital that you read the books assigned, reading a summary online will not get you a passing grade. If you read a small amount nightly, the novels will not seem overwhelming. From experience, I can assure you that attempting to read an entire book in one night is not worth it.
