Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dual Enrollment is very different than the other English classes that I've taken. First semester so far has had a very strong focus in writing development, and combining different writing styles to make an effective essay.

    Course highlights:

My teacher is definitely a highlight of the course. He is very funny and tries to incorporate memes into the lesson, which I personally think makes the notes more entertaining. So far we have written cause and effect, rebuttal, and proposal papers, combining concepts from the last paper with new concepts every time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not blow off any of the drafts, if your teacher allows for you to have peer review classes. Having someone read over your essays before you submit them is vital to catching any mistakes you've made and are immune to.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a lot of writing, but will prepare one for future college papers. Each written assignment given focuses on a different aspect of writing - whether it be analysis, narrative, argumentative, or descriptive. Throughout the year Ms. Tornello teaches mini lessons that will further enhance one's writing skills. Overall, this was a fantastic course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course include independent reading time if you enjoy reading, further advancing one's writing skills, and book of the week recommendations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. Use all workshop time given in class. Peer review helps. Ask Ms. Tornello for help if needed.
