    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because my writing skills have flourished taking this class. This class prepared me for college and for challenging academic prompts. This class was also very fun and in every lecture there was a life lesson learned afterwards. I was able to intellectually grow and learned to developed my individuality in my writing.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was when we spent a quarter focusing on poetry. Great historical poets that transformed history and poetry throughout time. We talked about poets like Tupac Shakur to Emily Dickinson. One project was to create a slideshow of a poet elaborating and analyzing a poem they wrote. Also at the end of the year we all got to present "About me" there was laughter, joy, tears, and sadness, I connected with every student and learned things I never thought was possible.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to READ! Be prepared to CRY because the tears will slip and fall sometimes, well at least for me. And overall be prepared to truly learn more than English literature, I will remember the things I have learned from this class even after graduating college.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you in more ways than you think, it broadens the way you think about reading and writing and causes you to think deeper into situations you might look past.

    Course highlights:

The highlights in my personal opinion would be Poetry, there are so many hidden meanings behind a short passage. Also, essays. When you are in college you might come across some longer essays, and with this class college essays will feel like a breeze!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You can do it. i wish someone would have told me that when I was getting stressed out. Find friends or other classmates willing to make a study group and you don't always have to meet up in person, you could easily make a study group online or over the phone! Also, stay focused and don't overwhelm yourself!
