    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed this course. I had Ms. Furnari and, although she isn't at this school anymore, I'm sure the other teachers are just as qualified.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to manage time with essays a lot better.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate, and make sure that you do your best.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher was amazing. She knows her stuff. I got a 5 on the exam all thanks to Ms. Furnari. I loved learning in an accelerated program. We read books that were enjoyable (e.g. The Running Man, The Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter). Finally, we were prepared to take that exam, after endless essays and a few multiple choice sessions.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write good essays. We did a rhetorical essay, a persuasive essay, and a synthesis essay. Through doing all 3, I developed a holistic approach and a cohesive strategy for tackling any essay at any time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a challenge. For any reward, there are challenges. If you want that 4 or 5 on the exam you have to work hard. It isn't easy, but you'll thank yourself down the road when you have to write that research paper or thesis for whatever line of work you're pursuing. Writing is a key component in many fields of study. So why not learn to write well? This is the place.
