    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a very interesting class, you learn about the government systems of different countries, specifically, UK, Russia, China, Iran, Nigeria, and Mexico. There is a lot of reading in this class, but if you find the right resources online reading the book is not necessary. Mrs. Welch was also the best teacher I had that year, she is very nice, and she really cares about her students she tries to connect with her students on a personal level.

    Course highlights:

Some of the skills that I gained from this course is learing how to work in groups with others. Since we were required to find 2 current event articles for each country every quarter, and connect whats going in the article and what we learned in class, you can understand why these courntries are in turmoil or why they are making decisions the that they are making, as well keeping up with what's going on around the world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Some tips for with class is that do the Country fact sheets ASAP don't wait until the week before AP Exams, and you can find some of the Country Fact Sheets online already filled out. Also find a study guide for AP COGO on google it has four of the countries in there and its very useful. Make sure to copy down the correct responses for the FRQs she gives in class most of the time she will reuse those same FRQs on the test Study your Vocab for each Country.
