    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it gets the job done, teaches all there needs to be taught, without being given too much homework.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights included reading Dracula and Beowulf. Both of which were incredible books and teach a lot about the writing style and time period.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Anyone taking this course, I would advise them to simply try. Trying is really all it takes besides studying, even if Dracula can be boring in the beginning, it's all worth it for when you head off to collage.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it for those who love to read, and I mean genuinely love to read. You will cover fantastic works in a very dynamic environment that instills analytical confidence. The teacher may seem strict, however, it just permits an harder working environment. I would not recommend it if you do not enjoy writing or requiring additional effort when writing papers. Yet, I feel it is a fantastic class with great benefits.

    Course highlights:

We covered several different types of literary theory and so far we have delved deeper into the older side of literature, which I appreciate because I find those works particularly difficult. My favorite part of the class was the group discussions, because it provided an open environment to actually use what we have learned. I also gained a surprising appreciation for Shakespeare, I just needed to add that.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid of working hard or thinking outside of the box. In fact the latter is a secret requirement for success in the class. Also regardless of how boring or difficult a work is, read it. Never ever use online resources that do the analyzing for you, it will show and it will not be appreciated. However, new ideas, regardless of how strange, will always be appreciated as long as they are original and genuine.
