    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for the simple fact that you actually are being educated and it is not only for the time being, the work being done is saturated into your life.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course would definitely be the final paper, the final paper was an 8-10 research paper, a completed research journal, an oral presentation of your research paper, and a digital portfolio filled with what you have done throughout the semester. The paper took a lot of effort and dedication to complete this and during the process I learned an abundant amount of information on how the male and female brains work (miscommunication inflicting). Aside for the written portion, the oral presentation is simple, if you are having trouble with speaking infront of a crowd I would suggest practicing with a friend/friends so that you can get a feel for what your up against. Social anxiety seems to be a problem these days considering the fact everyone communicates through social media and other means of communication. However, during this course it is safe to say I learned to be dedicated and that if u actually put forth the effort there may be a chance that what you're learning is interesting and you won't look at schoolwork as a chore.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

For this course I would say first and foremost listen to your professor, I know this seems very broad however this is the first step in knowing what your professor wants from you to be successful. As I said before, if you are having trouble with public speaking I would suggest practicing speeches with your friends and maybe even getting a job that requires daily communication such as a server at a restaurant. In addition, read for numerous hours when you are doing a research paper. The more knowledge you gain the better, this will make you paper stronger. The best advice I can give for you to be successful in this course is to be genuine with your work. If you show interest and take the time to learn the material instead of striving to get a letter grade, your interest will get you the grade you are looking for.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great general education course. It is less writing intensive as English Comp. 101, but more discussion based. This class has a couple of short writing assignments, but they are all very doable.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me to analyze pieces of writing more critically. Not only should you be understanding what the piece is saying or is about, but one can also look at the layout of the piece. Design choices can be an important component to any piece of writing.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you stay on top of the class readings, participate in class, and finish your papers on time you will be fine. Studying isn't needed for this course.
