Study the vocabulary profusely and spend a lot of time studying Spanish through games, literature, and music. Also keep detailed notes and take into account the ways Spanish is conjugated and spoken

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She has a very relatable approach to the Spanish language. As someone who doesn't naturally practice Spanish in my life outside of school, I believe it's that she makes the subject very interesting and practical to learn. She works with the students who may have troubles with the course and submerges the class into the cultures that are associated with the language. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher.

    Course highlights:

As part of international studies week, Prof. DeSouza invited guest speakers from the Peace Corp to discuss career opportunities across the world. The cultures and the different memories that the members spoke about were interesting and engaged the class to want to learn about the job. We learned about some Latin American cultures and subcultures and how they may be changed in the near future, which encouraged us to see the current state of the traditional culture before it conforms to the country's lifestyle.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is a practical course, but it's not an easy one. You'll have to study and practice the subject often if you want a respectable grade. This applies especially for students who haven't taken (or actually participated) in a Spanish course a year prior to this class.
