    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Students will learn a lot in this course. As a professor Dr. Haynes gives advise, tells students what they need to know. Students get clear information and learn to get information in a different way.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned study methods, and how to learn biology in non-traditional ways. We learned the biochemistry of the cell, concentrations of reactions in the cell were taught, and how cell work. The course taught us biological terms, that helped the students understand science when they are used in other science classes.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to put in a lot of time, reading, studying, testing and going over information. I would suggest that student record the lectures and listen to them while studying.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course to earn a B.S. degree in biology. The story that my division advisor told me was that you truly haven't grasped the rigour of being a biology major unless you have taken Cell Biology immediately after succeeding GBIO 111 and 112.

    Course highlights:

Academically: The knowledge of what the body does at the cellular level. This wasn't just a broad overview of the cell's structure; this was knowing the cell's many structures, then analyzing its different functions in the body based on those structures. Mentally: An enlightened way of how to study and prepare for the rest of the biology courses following and every other course that I was and would be taking in the coming years as an undergrad and a future medical student.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Free time? Look over the "Learning Objectives." Be able to answer EVERY objective clearly and concisely as if you were the one teaching it.
