Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely love this class! It starts off with basics, which really helps those who haven't had a biology course in a long time. After brushing up on cells and chemistry a bit, you jump right into the systems. I really enjoyed the ways the labs were set up, they were very interactive with your body being your best study guide. The small class size and amount of one on one time with the professor was also a huge plus.

    Course highlights:

There is a cadaver lab in this course, but you don't do any of the dissecting. It was easily my favorite part- it made learning the muscles and visera of the abdominal cavity MUCH easier! The cadavers were also treated with a lot of respect, and lots of care was taken to keep the identities a secret, which I also thought was very appropriate.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely start reading the day you get the book and make sure you read all the chapters. This will help you tons before going into lecture, where there is a quiz on the reading every week. Some things won't be covered in lecture that is covered in the book will be on the exams!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Loved the teacher as well as the content! Professor Trepasso is very knowledgeable and engaging! She is supportive and knows the material well.

    Course highlights:

I got a great introduction into the medical field by learning how the prefixes and suffixes create the medical language. Learning some of the basic word parts helps you memorize and define many of the medical terms covered.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to spend a fair amount of time studying. Flash cards and online resources were very helpful for me.
