    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Many adults present to counseling for assistance with making life decisions such as career development. This course provides a counselor in training with valuable information to assist those clients with making career decisions.

    Course highlights:

    I learned a great deal about assisting clients with exploring options and not limiting themselves.

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Although it may appear that a career counseling course is not necessary for a mental health practicioner, remain open and flexible because this course provides a great deal of valuable information.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course is recommended as it is difficult but proves to be essential in learning more about oneself. As learners, more insight is gained into personal and professional development in the counseling field.

    Course highlights:

    Throughout the course, there was a lot learned about life planning and career development. Career counseling proved to be essential within the counseling profession and at some point will be utilized. In order to be effective with providing these concepts into the counseling profession, counselors must have knowledge of assessments and tests that may be necessary to use with clients. Also, assessments are not like "one size fits all." The assessments and tests are unique to each individual and must be provided that way.

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

    Do not be afraid to take this course because it is difficult. There is a lot learned from this course and provides essential concepts, interventions, assessments, etc. that will be used in the counseling field.
