Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class gives great insight in the Human Computer Interaction. It is extremely important to be able to analyze different interfaces and be able to evaluate them based on the 10 Heuristics which you learn about in this course. It helps you understand what is important in application, website, and device design.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were spending one week on each of the 10 heuristics to learn how they apply to everyday interface design. I felt that this was a very good approach to really understand each of them. Professor Paul Gold does an excellent job of explaining and breaking down the heuristics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is important to do ALL the readings because it helps further understand each heuristic.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Understanding how to understand the ideas and thought process behind Human and Computer Interaction is eye opening. There are many areas to consider to make something in technology work for those who are not so technical and the course really shows what's involved.

    Course highlights:

Understanding how something technical is designed and created for the average user. You have to think of every aspect of how someone will use a piece of technology to understand how to create it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of reading, so prepare time to read and respond appropriately. Time management is key.
