    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the learner will learn about the importance of public health, its policy and history. Public Health is an important part of government objectives and goals that sets the enactment and work enforcement of the Law. The law sets boundaries which are used as a tool to guide public health work.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is learning about the department organization and governance. I learned that the local health department has several organizational characteristics. For example, the local health department varies according to the jurisdictional type. for example, the state health department sets the pyramid of governance structure, in governing bodies and size. The local health departments are governmental entities which have jurisdictions over towns, cities, counties, and districts.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay focus. The course is very challenging and requires extensive research and critical thinking.
