    Course Overview:

    Statistics course of any kind can be hard. But Dr. Hoffman was patient and informative. This is necessary as a researcher/psychologist to understand statistical analysis. Tip: Use the help guides and watch things such as punctuation carefully!

    Course highlights:

    You will learn how to run syntax, recode, rename variables, edit data, and more, all in SPSS. This class is good for getting all of the basis functions of IBM SPSS in your bank of knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure to have the IBM SPSS books handy for reference. Follow the help guides that they offer and use the quantitative analysis lab as a tool as often as you need to!

    The basics of understanding the language of IBM SPSS. Its cruical if you want to pass and retain the information.

    Course Overview:

    Statistics can be a daunting course, especially when using SPSS, but the professor made everything simple and easy to understand. He gave step by step instructions for almost all assignments (except for the last one) and he thoroughly explained the importance of statistics in Psychology.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to find the different functions most used in SPSS. I learned what the functions were for and what data I would get from using them. I learned how to break apart data into necessary bits of information, particularly when wanting to examine specific aspect of the data.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Ask any question you may have. When it comes to statistics, there is no stupid question. Also, go through each step carefully and if it does not turn out right, try it again as many times as necessary.
