    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely informative, and helped me to understand tests and measurements in its entirety. Dr. Schneider was one of the best Instructors I have ever had, and his TA's really helped in the SI sessions. Loved this course, and not many can say that when they complete a course that is difficult with tons of research.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to read different tests and measurements found in psychological testing. I also learned how to research the different tests that may be used in my field of study, and about psychological testing requirements. I learned the proper way to use such tests and how such tests and measurements can also be harmful to indviduals if not used properly and with careful concideration.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to all of the SI Session, read everything assigned, get the book Tests and Measurements for People who Hate Tests and Measurements, even if it is no longer required for the course. It is an amazing read, and will help you understand the course better than any other textbook I have ever read! Also if you have questions do not be afraid to ask, no matter what the question, and if you can ask for Dr. Schneider, do so he is awesome and is able to walk an indvidual through the assignment even when he or she is completely dumbfounded!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The instruction is laid out so that the foundation for the course helps students become comfortable and familiar with the ideas surrounding research such as scientific merit. These foundation introductions help to set the pace for understanding the beginning steps to approaching larger scale psychology projects, such as the dissertation required for PhD completion.

    Course highlights:

This course at Capella is a self-learning course which was helpful in fitting in with my personal schedule. I was able to refresh my understanding of the subject material in a nearly stress free classroom environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Ensure that your study plan accommodates for multiple hours of reading.
