    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course wasn't what I thought it would be. I was under the impression that I would be learning how psychology is used to develop products and implement marketing. Instead what I got was a course that was geared towards social workers or anyone interested in counseling. The instructor particularly had real thing for Turnitin submissions being under 25%, because she believed that Turnitin measured plagiarism and not percentage of other submitted work. She would flat out fail my submissions because Turnitin was too high without actually reading the assignments. Not even sure how she could say with certainty that the scoring criteria wasn't met since she didn't read the paper I submitted. I once changed 4 words in sentence to bring down my Turnitin percentage. Her reliance on something that is so flawed is ridiculous and annoying. So if you take this class and happen to get this instructor, be prepared to do some annoying re-writing of rejected.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about human development and the stages that it occurs in during different periods of life. There are a lot of great takeaways from this course even though it was centered on what I was hoping for. Human development was a pretty interesting section to complete.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep Turnitin under 25%. Be prepared to find your own relevant resources, many offered in the course were removed from the database. Talk with your tutor if you are having problems getting your Turnitin at the acceptable percentage. Don't take it personally.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is designed for those who will be pursuing a degree in social work or some form of counseling service. I was hoping that this would be a course that would delve into how psychology is used in business when developing product and incorporating marketing techniques. The instructor will also force you to re-write assessments if the Turnitin report is more than 25%. She apparently believes that Turnitin reveals plagiarism without actually reviewing the originality report. But when you are using the same references and sources for dozens of classes, the probability of a high percentage increases. I once changed 4 words in a sentence to reduce my percentage from 26%-which she rejected immediately, to 22%. You read that correctly, 4 little words in one sentence. If you happen to receive Alyssa Gilston as a faculty, keep your Turnitin under 25% or be prepared to make annoying changes to meet her unrealistic expectation.

    Course highlights:

Did happen to learn quite a bit about human development and how people are shaped throughout the course of their lives. Much of the material for the course was very interesting and engaging.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to make sure your Turnitin is under 25% every single time. Many of the resources given in the course won't actually help with the assessment. Talk to your tutor if you have any problems or need help working with certain aspects of the material. Some of the instructions contradict themselves, base your assessment responses on the scoring guide to ensure full credit.
