Always Do the Reading
Great Intro to the Subject
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would say that about 95% of the students in my class found this course frustrating and difficult. But every time that I discussed their reasons with other students, I got responses that weren't constructive. Basically the main complaint is that there is a lot of reading involved with specific in-class questions. Personally I have no problem with specific questions taken from a reasonable window of pages from the book. As long as you read the pages that are assigned, and don't miss more than one or two classes, an A is very attainable.
I have always enjoyed Political Science courses, and this is a very useful course for understanding how things work in the real world and how they got that way.

Advice for students:
As I said earlier, as long as you read the assigned pages, you should be fine. It's a decent amount of reading but it's not terrible. Just make sure that you actually understand of significance of each person or development before you continue to the next topic. Getting jumbled up is easy if you press forward just skimming.
