    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Because you have to take this or art, I would say pick this class if you learn by hearing.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the listening to music. I learned though that there is much more to music that words and melody. You will learn in this class about time periods and composers on a personal level.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I learned that you can't take this class for granted even if you are a musical person. You need to listen to the musical selections EVERY single day and memorize them! On the test, they won't play the most obvious verse of the song. They will play a snippet that sounds similar to the other pieces.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Prior to the completion of this course, I had little to no knowledge of the world of classical music. This course changed the way I thought about the world. Classical music makes an appearance in almost every aspect of the world we live in today. Whether it be the background music to a movie, or the so highly adored music in an elevator, classical music is undeniably there. I believe everyone should take a class such as this to further their knowledge of the world we all desperately want to know more about.

    Course highlights:

I gained a heightened sense of awareness with the world I live in. I no longer walk around with ignorance towards classical music and culture!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and do your best...the knowledge gained will be irreplaceable.
