Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Carton is a very understanding a charismatic teacher. The material of the course is taught using interesting and personalized examples. Although waking up for this class at 8 AM, was never fun, I always enjoyed learning the material from such a relatable and hilarious professor.

    Course highlights:

The course covered all of the basics of psychology such as social, behavioral, and cognitive psychology. We read many interesting case studies that allowed us to put a face to the abstract ideas we were learning. Amanda Carton did a fantastic job of relating the material not only to the student's personal lives, but what was going on socially and environmentally at the time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is easy to fall behind on the long readings, so students should make it a point to knock the readings out as early as possible. Although you will take many valuable notes in class, make sure to take notes on the reading assignments as well, and review them before class to refresh your memory. It is very difficult to do anything last minute successfully for this course, so make sure to prioritize the work, and begin studying for exams a couple days before.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great course as an introduction to the field of psychology. We learned a lot within a semester- a lot of lectures and reading responses.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of the course would be just all of the interesting topics we learned about. Taking this course is a bit of a challenge, but it's a good challenge. You're able to think more like a psychologist when it comes to every day things by the end, and that's pretty cool.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the material. There is a lot. Do not miss class, and stay on top of the work so you don't get behind.
