This class was tough.
You learn too many new things. This course is probably pretty easy if you're interested in inorganic chemistry and point groups etc., but I found it incredibly dull. I'd rather be learning organic and doing synthesis rather than learning the shapes and structures of solids etc, but whatever floats your boat. It is pretty essential knowledge for future courses, so it's good to learn the basics here...just slog through it the best you can.
Inorganic chemistry and bonding. An introduction to the principles of chemical structure and bonding, with emphasis on their application to inorganic systems. Topics include: atoms, orbitals, and periodicity; localized bonding models; symmetry and group theory; and molecular orbital theory.
