    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are passionate about chemistry, or just want to have a better understanding of how things work, this course will definitely interest you! Professor Hudson is clearly very enthusiastic about the subject, which makes learning it a lot easier.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was definitely spectroscopy! We touched base on this towards the end, however it was a refreshing change from all the other content, and much more interesting too - seeing the graphs, and being able to decode what each peak and point meant, kind of like learning a new language.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you focus on understanding the material, rather than memorizing it, it's not a tough course at all. Also, make sure to do the supplementary questions provided in the lab books! Those really help a lot. Also, for the labs, make sure to read over the lab manual beforehand - it truly makes the lab so much more interesting, faster, and allows you to avoid simple mistakes.
