Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great intro course to political theory. Covers the ancient Greeks and the medieval thinkers. Stretches from Plato to Machiavelli. Long is a great lecturer and fair grader. Always makes time to meet in office hours if concepts are unclear after lecture.

    Course highlights:

Through taking this course I learned more than just political theory. I learned how to improve my essay writing skills (every exam - or test as Long calls it- is an in-class essay). Long is also really great I tying in concepts from thousands of years ago to real-world examples that make grasping the concepts that much easier. He is a tough grader, but generally fair. Must work hard and stay on top of readings to earn an A grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of readings. Go to class even though it is early. Use Prof and TA's office hours to clarify concepts that don't stick with you from readings/lecture.
