    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone seeking to understand the foundations of accounting. In understanding this course content I have found other more advanced subjects such as Managment Accounting a lot easier to understand. Additionally, if you are not seeking to pursue accounting, a thorough understanding of financial matters can be gained at a beginner's level.

    Course highlights:

I learnt the foundations of accounting including: -The complete accounting cycle -Analysis of Financial Data -Internal Control -The role of Accounts Payable and Receivable -How to prepare financial documents such as a balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity and a trial balance

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are studying this course at ACU they ask students to use a program called My Accounting Lab. This is one of the most useful tools and most of your assignments will be based off what you learn on that site. However, it doesn't explain everything, whenever I had a problem I couldn't understand I asked a tutor on Course Hero and it helped so much.
