    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this teacher highly because of his ability to let the class teach itself. This teacher was my favorite because he made the entire class an engaging, fulfilling, and foundation building machine. Everything that I have done with accounting has become infinitely easier ever since I have taken his class.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of accounting. I learned the difference between debits and credits, the accounting equation, and the basics of the concept of accumulated depreciation. I also learned the fundamentals of reconciliation, and how it applies to our own lives as much if not more than the business world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on the homework. Use clear and concise handwritten templates. The most important part is to remember that Excel is an excellent way to organize your thoughts if you are getting confused on paper.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is a pretty cool guy. But he lacked in the whole teaching part. He thinks that peers make the best teacher. So he doesn't really teach. He gives about 20 minute discussion at the beginning of class then leaves you to your own devices. Luckily I caught on pretty quickly and was able to help those who were struggling. If you are a fast learner or like to learn on your own. it is okay.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of accounting. The highlights for me were the two projects that we did. We did them in a group and he gave us a few weeks to do them. It basically walked you through the beginning to the end process of doing the accounting process of a business.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take this course if it is needed in your program. But if you are a person who needs a teacher to walk you through problems or examples, do not take Mr. French's class. Get another teacher.
