    I recommend that any of you keep in touch with factual history!

    Course highlights:

    The highlights were seeing the old cartoons about how they used to make fun of my ancestors .

    Advice for students:

    Go beyond the information given. If it is in one's heart to seek truth and light of an event , ask questions! Receive clarity! Ask why!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Its a very intriguing class that takes you on a journey through the history of our people . I learned about specific cultures and traditions and how in some way they affected our country's existence.

    Course highlights:

    We were able to analyze different forms of literature and had to present on the literary works as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Definitely need to keep up with the course readings or you will feel lost in class.

    Every student should learn about african american literatures, they tell the real story of the hard times.

    Course highlights:

    I learned a lot about different African American writers, and how their works were viewed by everyone else.

    Take as many notes as you possibly can, and make sure you read all the required text.
