    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class is a good introduction to the many different aspects of biomedical engineering. Covers a wide variety of topics throughout the semester and gives you a good idea of what you can do later whether you go into academia or industry.

    Course highlights:

Being exposed to many different aspects of biomedical engineering. While you don't go into much depth, for a major like this I think it's good to find out about different things you can do so it becomes easier to pick a specialization when your older.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and listen to lectures. The assignments are mostly based off the guest lecturer's and the exams are related very closely to the assignments. If you do a good job on the assignments you'll be set for the exam. There is usually a semester long group project that involves researching and coming up with a novel idea to solve a particular problem. Write the accompanying paper and edit it as early as possible.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course included interesting lectures and intriguing material (biomechanics, biomaterials, bioimaging, tissue engineering, etc)

    Course highlights:

The design project was perhaps the most rewarding aspect of the class. In groups, we were presented with the task of designing some technology in need of improvement in biomedical engineering.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the textbook before each lecture.
