    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because this professor was one of the first professors I have met that made science fun. The class was very engaging despite the large size of the class. The test were reflected of what was taught in lecture. Since lecture was actually amusing, your full attention is always present which led to excellent exam scores across the class roster.

    Course highlights:

As you know, this course is designed to teach about microbes, which are organisms that are too small to see with the naked eye. The focus of this class was a highlight within itself because we as humans tend to pay no attention to the living things that we cannot see. It was nice to learn about microbes and their existence. Bacteria is present on and within our body. I learned that not all bacteria are bad and in fact some are essential to my survival as a human being.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The biggest advice I would give to a student who will take this course is to stay on top of the work. Although the lecture might seem fair, procrastination is a college student's biggest enemy. Therefore, do not let it get the best of you. If you have a busy semester, find cracks in your schedule to dedicate to this class to review the previous week's material.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this couse as it wasn't as difficult as any other higher leveled bio classes at stony brook. With 0 background in biology I was able to attain a B and our professor was great with office hours

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge that will help me be successful in other science classes. Professor taught us genetics & a bit of biochem which wasn't hard to retain even without those classes.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't refer to the book as much. Use the slides and ask the professors
